This morning in my devotional time as I was two way journaling with Abba and diligently writing what I was clearly hearing Him say to me, God explained to me the following. Our relationship with Him only counts when we are at one end of the spectrum or the other. We must be either Hot or Cold. There is no acceptable inbetween with God! Everything in the middle can be considered lukewarm…It can be almost cold or almost hot but almost is not what we are called to!
Jesus himself declared the following;
I know all that you do, and I know that you are neither frozen in apathy nor fervent with passion. How I wish you were either one or the other! But because you are neither cold nor hot, but lukewarm, I am about to spit you from my mouth.

You see, God was clearly pointing out to me that we are to be either 100% surrender and submitted to Him or sadly 0%, or in total opposition of Him. There is no acceptable inbetween. We cannot and must not ever think that we can simply incorporate Jesus into our lives and keep doing the foolish things we once did. Coming to Jesus requires, total and complete repentance, total and complete renunciation of anything and everything that was and is in contradiction to His Word and His Plan for our Lives.
Being Canadian, it helps understand the following. Water freezers at 0C and boils at 100C, (Interestingly enough either 0% or 100%, ironic isn’t it!), those are the exact temperatures that in which water changes phases. The inbetween is where we commonly use water, but when water change phases that is when it has an effect on its surroundings! God is calling you and I to make a clear and definitive Choice, we must Choose Him and Surrender every single part of our Lives to Him, All of It. 100%
He wants us to be Boiling Over, Stirred Up. When water is boiling, that is when it is most effective. We cook with hot water. Hot water transforms everything it comes in contact with. It takes pasta, (I Love Pasta!) from being hard and inedible to a delicious heart warming meal.
Hot water transforms your coffee beans or tea leaves into a wonderful beverage that warms your heart and relaxes you. Only HOT water has this effect! Only HOT water can effectively transform its surroundings! Jesus is calling us to be HOT, to be BOILING Over, with His Spirit bubbling up inside us! We are called to HOT! Notice another thing from the image I chose, the higher the altitude the easier it is for water to boil! Why? Less atmospheric pressure. So what I heard God clearly tell me was that the closer we draw to Him, the easier it will be for us to stay HOT because the pressures of the world are less and less the more we draw Closer to Him. We Must Pursue Jesus with Passion, Diligence and Intention! We must make serving Him and and Loving Him our only Priority and Focus of each day! We are Called to be HOT. We are Called Dead to Sin and our Pasts. We are Called a Brand New Creation. We are Transformed into His Very Likeness. We Must Shine Bright and We Must Be HOT! The World needs us to properly and powerfully and faithfully and effectively, Reflect Jesus and Pour Him into every Situation and conversation! Always remember Love melts even the Hardest of Hearts! God is LOVE, He lives and dwells in You! GOD IS CALLING YOU TO BE HOT, to Transform Your Surroundings by His LOVE! Be HOT today and everyday! Either we are all in or we are not, we must not be lukewarm! Be HOT, Be on FIRE, Be LIGHT and most importantly BE LOVE today and everyday!
