Happy Thanksgiving! (I know I am late for Canada but early for USA! )
We have so very much to be Thankful for on a daily basis that we should not keep it for only one day a year!
The Word says;
Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name.
Psalms 100:4 NLT

Give thanks to the Lord , for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.

We need to make sure that our mouths are continually full of Thanksgiving and Praise for the King of Kings! Our Loving Heavenly Father!
The Word also tells us;
Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 NLT

As Sons and Daughters of the King of Kings we need to remember that at no time are we under the circumstances. We are more than Conquerors. (Romans 8:37) We have Overwhelming Victory. We are Above and not Beneath. That is why we can easily and confidently Give Thanks in all Circumstances because we know that our Loving Abba Father is working everything for our Good! (Romans 8:28)
That is something to get excited about and to be very Thankful for!
Last Sunday Afternoon, my wife and I decided to head out to the country property and go for a nice fall walk in our vast forest. After our walk we decided to have a camp fire and enjoy the beauty of the leaves and the trees around us. As we were just sitting enjoying the fire and the smells and the beauty around us I decided to teach my wife how to fire my rifle…she did amazingly well, hitting the target on the mark on her first shot! I then decided to get get out my compound bow and teach her how to use it. Not quite the same outcome when you have to take into account other factors like wind and hand movements, etc. I was still holding my bow when we went back to the camp fire and I started joking about lighting an arrow on fire…a flaming arrow. And then the Holy Spirit downloaded into me the deepest revelation I have ever had.
Holding the bow in my hand, standing by the fire, I finally understood the following Scripture with such clarity I was amazed that I had missed it so many times before!
above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.

Notice it says Fiery Darts, or Flaming Arrows. Why would God instruct Paul to use those specific words? Here is the Revelation that Papa placed in me through the Holy Spirit.
A simple arrow, while if it strikes its target will do a great deal of harm…but if it misses, it does nothing, nothing at all. A flaming arrow, even if it misses its intended target will cause whatever it landed on to catch fire and be destroyed. BUT The Shield of Faith Will Quench, Will Put Out, Will Extinguish the Fiery Dart of the Enemy! No attack of the enemy can penetrate the Armor of God.
But it is much more than that. God is forever telling us as believers to Be Alert, To Stand Guard. A Flaming Arrow will always show up in the sky day or night…You Will See it Coming, It Will Not Catch You by Surprise! That is why we must be Alert! You will see exactly where the attack is coming from and you will know where to place your Shield of Faith. The weak and defeated and foolish enemy warns you before he attacks you! He is No Threat! We Have Overwhelming Victory!
You see the enemy wants you to fear, he wants you to run. But God Tells us to Stand FIRM!
Another example of how the enemy warns you that he wants to attack, trying to make you fear;
Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your family of believers all over the world is going through the same kind of suffering you are.

ake Notice that the verse begins by saying Stay Alert! It is important to realize that the Scripture says as or like not IS! There IS only ONE Lion of Judah! The King of Kings!
When Peter talks about the enemy as a roaring lion…you can hear it far in the distance, you know to be wise and be on guard, to have both your Shield and Sword in Hand and to Stand FIRM! Again the weak and defeated and foolish enemy warns you before he attacks you! He is No Threat! We Have Overwhelming Victory!
As CHRISTians, we should be so in tune with the Voice of The Holy Spirit inside us that we should never ever be ambushed by the enemy…these two simple scriptures reveal that if we are Alert as God has Called us to be we will Always Have Overwhelming Victory Through Jesus Christ Our Lord!
For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.

As Believers, We are Born Of God, Therefore we can Overcome the World thru Faith! So Take Up your Shield of Faith, Put on the Armor of God Daily and never leave home without it!
Also I want to leave you with a Truth about Fire;
For our God is a consuming fire.

This is the only fire that should ever concern us! That He would refine us continually every moment of each day and that we ourselves would show this world what it is to be On Fire for God!
